  • Read the latest article posted in the “Cracking the Code Interactive Newsletter ,” by Andrew M. Russin, titled "Life Insurance Valuation Unearths Hidden Value." You see one every day—a life insurance policy on a petitioner's financial statement. Until recently, the choices for dealing with an unwanted life insurance policy have been limited. Recently, however, a market for life settlements has developed. With that market has come the opportunity, and perhaps a duty, to have your clients' life insurance policies appraised by a professional valuation service.

  • Transcripts of two bankruptcy cases argued before the Supreme Court during the Nov. 3–12 session are now available online at ABI World. The cases include the debtor’s waiver of untimely objection to discharge and awarding fees from chapter 7 estate to debtor’s counsel.

  • The Bankruptcy Telecommunications Manual is available through the online publications catalog.
