Miss the YNMC Events at the 2003 Annual Spring Meeting Among the programs geared specifically to young and new members is the introduction of a new one-day "Bankruptcy — Nuts & Bolts for Young Practitioners" program. The program, designed by Robert M. Zinman Resident Scholar Prof. David Epstein (perhaps better known to recent law school graduates for his BarBri contracts lecture), will be held on April 10 before the official kick-off of the Annual Spring Meeting. Whether you are new to the field or simply need a refresher, judges and practitioners (including YNMC Co-chair Melissa Kibler Knoll of KPMG LLP) from around the country will be certain to update you on important bankruptcy legal and financial issues during the program. Separate consumer and business tracks will allow you to customize the program to fit your needs. The committee will also offer a program geared towards young and new ABI members during the main Annual Spring Meeting sessions. "Effective Bankruptcy Trial Practice" will be presented as a concurrent educational program at 10:45 a.m. on Friday, April 11. Hon. William Bodoh (Chief Judge, N.D., Ohio), and a group of distinguished practitioners (including YNMC Co-chair Brian Shaw of Shaw Gussis Fishman Glantz & Wolfson LLC) will walk you through some trial practice tips. It will not be the typical bankruptcy course, as you will see a simulated hearing and witness examination take place right before your eyes. Committee members are invited and encouraged to attend the YNMC meeting and reception. As always, it is the first major event of the Annual Spring Meeting and provides young and new members with the opportunity to learn more about YNMC activities and to meet each other and the ABI leadership in a more intimate social setting. These activities are perfectly timed to follow the one-day "Nuts & Bolts" program, with the committee meeting beginning at 5 p.m. and the reception beginning at 6 p.m. (note time changes from the brochure). We hope you will attend all of these exciting functions specifically geared towards our young and new members and look forward to meeting many of you!
